About Ino
In Greek mythology, Ino was a sea goddess (aka Queen of the Sea) in Homer’s Odyssey, where she rescued the Greek hero Odysseus with her veil.
As water sports are becoming more popular, especially kayaking which is easier for amateurs, there is an increase of accidents in water sports in recent years.
Problem
The current design of life jacket is very passive, the limitation of communicating with both partners and rescuers on open water hinders the rescue operation.
Our Aim
Our team aims to create a smarter life jacket, which enhances the communication effectiveness on water and facilitates the rescure operation to increase survivability.
